Inspiration 66 / Dasha Pears

I’ve always been a fan of conceptual and surreal photography. When I was younger, I was obsessed with finding tutorials online that would teach me to manipulate my photos. Believe it or not, I had a lot of fun editing photographs back in the day. Recently though, I’ve enjoyed discovering artists that bring surreal elements to their real-life photographs.

Dasha Pears is one of those artists whose photographs contain a fantastical and whimsical quality to them. Each image is beautifully composed down to the colors, clothes, props, and composition. One of my favorite things about her work is the architectural elements in each of her photos. I love seeing the contrast between sharp corners and rounded edges.
