Inspiration 71 / Madeline Kate Martinez

I hope you all had a fun time celebrating Fourth of July yesterday! It’s been a little while since we’ve featured an illustrator as inspiration, and I have a really good one to share with you today.

Madeline Kate Martinez is an illustrator and graphic designer based in Portland, OR. I came across her work on Instagram and I’m obsessed. The first illustration I saw was one that included some of my favorite Glossier products, so I already knew I was going to like this girl before clicking through to her profile. Many of her illustrations include my other favorite things: plants, coffee, and cute outfits.

Madeline creates beautiful little scenes with simple colors and a paint-like quality. The colors that she uses are so inspiring, I especially love the deep greens and light pinks together.
