One Prop Challenge / 05

All

One Prop Challenge is a new series that allows us to play around with ideas, learn new techniques, and challenge ourselves as creatives. You can read about our first challenge here.

I'm a huge ice cream fan. Ask anyone I know and they'll tell you it's my weakness. For some reason, I've always loved the different textures of ice cream. The soft and creaminess of frozen vanilla custard or the frozen beads of Dippin' Dots that melt right on your tongue. After seeing a cool shot of an ice cream cone on Pinterest, I knew that that's what I wanted for my prop this time around.

It took a little while to think of what exactly we wanted to do but it didn't take long before deciding that we wanted to find items in Elle's house that resembled an ice cream scoop. We chose yarn, crumpled paper, and a small flower bunch.

In one of the first few shots, we tried to spell out "yum" using the yarn. While the idea was there, it was hard trying to maneuver the yarn without the letters looking off.

Here are the final shots and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Is it the weekend yet?
