One Prop Challenge / 07

One Prop Challenge is a new series that allows us to play around with ideas, learn new techniques, and challenge ourselves as creatives. You can read about our first challenge here.

When I’m not working on Weekend Creative, I work part-time at a really awesome hair salon called Bedlam Beauty & Barber. Since working there I’ve become kind of a hair product whore. No regrets for any of the products I have bought as they all have helped my wild hair tremendously. One of my latest purchases is this Frizz + Static Control Spray by R+Co. The packaging itself is stunning and one of my favorite things about this brand.

We used various types of paper that emulated foil or silver material to create texture and add dimension to an otherwise boring product shot. Since featuring Adrienne Raquel in my last inspiration post, I was super inspired to edit the images to create a soft ethereal look. I may or may not have gone a little wild with the sparkles and motion blur. Check out some of the final shots below and this rad GIF that Elle created of the metallic shred.
