Inspiration 55 / Haley Tippmann

All

Coming across Haley Tippmann’s work felt like all those times I’ve sat in a coffee shop to people watch. Honestly some of the best inspiration there is can come from watching others out in public or on the streets.

I’ve always been really inspired by artists who use photography as a reference for their work. There’s something so relatable about Haley’s work that makes me feel like I’ve been there. Passersby on the street. Coffee date with a friend. Sunday market stroll. You know, just life’s everyday moments.

In an interview with endlesslovecreative, Haley mentions that her work is most inspired by her surroundings, the people, and real human expressions:

“When i am out in public, i usually make a note to take pictures of people doing very mundane things, and use those pictures as references for drawing later. this is where i can get the most personality/inspiration from someone. and, i almost never draw exactly as the person was in real life, i give them new clothing and whatnot!”

Haley currently lives and works in Rochester, NY and is represented by 2 AGENTEN, a Berlin based illustration agency. Follow her page on Instagram to see more of her work.
